About Us
My name is Martyn and I am the founder of MW IllumiTech Training and I have over 40 years' experience in the lighting industry.
Starting my career in luminaire design, before working through the technical and lighting design office, with a couple of periods production then transferring to a technical sales support, which resulted in a natural progression to sales.
Each role has allowed me to explore the many areas and being involved with my colleagues and clients in all aspects of lighting, whilst building relationships with end-users, specification and contractor clients both in a regional and national capacity.
I have had periods specialising in areas such as healthcare, including operating theatres and mental health facilities, lighting controls and emergency lighting monitoring systems, for both self-contained and central systems, basic commissioning systems for basic, through to more complex Dali and KNX systems, both wired and wireless communication systems.
Through my working life I have achieved several qualifications including, LIF lighting design, competent emergency lighting certification, HNC and Tech certificates, City and Guilds PAT testing and basic CAD. I also have experience with both Dialux and Relux packages.
I have a passion for lighting which I want to pass on to others by delivering training to share my knowledge and experience, which can be delivered in person or online.
I am a Member of IHEEM and a member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce..
